Your first time to Lombok? Welcome ! This tour is the ideal way to have a gentle introduction to Lombok, its people and its culture. Lombok has a very rich and diverse cultural history, with many peoples and a very varied history. Before the Portuguese colonies, Lombok was inhabited by the Sasak People, who still make up the majority of the inhabitants, many of who still live a traditional lifestyle. Like most of Indonesia, the main religion here is Muslim, but there is a smattering of Balinese, who have some amazing temples. SUGGESTED ITINERARY (Assuming your departure point is in the Senggigi area) Depart your accommodation: 8.30am Return to your accommodation: 5.00pm A visit to a traditional Sasak village Visits to several historic temples representing differing religions A visit to traditional weavers and potters An introduction to the life of farmers on Lombok A visit to a traditional market where produce from all over Lombok is traded A visit to the beach to watch the local fishermen (if they are there) Tour includes: All tour costs are included, such as entry fees and gratuities where applicable. English speaking tour guide will accompany your group at all times. All transport costs in a clean modern air-conditioned vehicle Bottled mineral water for each guest. Fresh local fruit as snacks Not included: Drinks other than bottled mineral water provided in-car, lunch.
