Pink Beach

A pink beach? Yes, a pink beach!  At certain times of the day, the coral sand of Pink Beach is quite pink in colour, especially in the late afternoon. We must warn you though, the road to Pink Beach is, well, not really a road!  More like a track, well, no, more like a totally destroyed track! The best bet to see Pink Beach is to stop at a nearby bay, and take a local boat around... it is much quicker and much much much smoother! Why is it pink?  The sand on the beach is actually made up of dead white coral which has broken down to fine grains over the years, and this, mixed with red coral, gives the beach its unique colour. SUGGESTED ITINERARY  (Assuming your departure point is in the Senggigi area) Depart your accommodation: 8.30am Return to your accommodation:  5.00pm Travel south and then east past the city of Mataram Continue through traditional agricultural areas toward Tanjung Ringgit district Leave the tour vehicle and meet the boat Take the local boat around to Pink Beach Spend the day just relaxing, walking on the wonderful beaches, or snorkelling in the beautiful waters.  The waves are very small as the cove is well protected, and offers excellent reefs for snorkelling. Visit a local restaurant for lunch (your choice of course!) Turn north-west, back toward Senggigi Tour includes: All tour costs are included, such as entry fees and gratuities where applicable. English speaking tour guide will accompany your group at all times. All transport costs in a clean modern air-conditioned vehicle Private charter boat Bottled mineral water for each guest. Fresh local fruit as snacks Not included: Drinks other than bottled mineral water provided in-car, lunch.
